about
Categorical Imperative is a mix album of 11 tracks I recorded in 2003. 3 of the tracks contained within were released on RobbAudio. The tracks for the most part are a lot heavier than what people are used to when they hear MDA Analog - the first half of the mix is pretty bass heavy driving techno while the second half gets more experimental and perhaps at times not as dark(?!?!). I'm not sure how appealing this will be in 2019 as the tempo of these tracks is very fast by today's standards and the style (at least of the first half) is considered old-fashioned, but as always with my digital media it's available as a free download if you want to take a listen. :)
ps - "Categorical Imperative" is a term coined by Immanuel Kant, which represents the center of his moral philosophy, and can be expressed something like: "Act as you would want all other people to act towards all other people". It's sort of a Golden Rule 2.0. Back in 2003 I had seriously gotten into philosophy and Kant left an impression.
